Document Package
Optical Support provides complete documentation packages to allow you to begin manufacturing as soon as possible.
Documentation packages (drawings) are generally done in two stages: unreleased and released. We typically deliver an unreleased package for customer review which can also be used to obtain quotations form manufacturers. This is followed by modifications and a released set of documents is issued. Documents are delivered in the form of .pdf files; .dxf or other formats can be provided as needed. Nearly all communications are done through e-mail.
If needed, Optical Support can perform most communications to establish purchase orders between your company and manufacturers. We can recommend machine shops or optical fabricators, or work with those whom you have established relationships. We can process requests for quotations and deal with any follow-up issues. We can provide reusable information to help your purchasing department place your orders, or create them from your templates. Once your purchasing department has placed the orders, we can help to track status and schedule and provide support to your manufacturers to ensure that the final products meet your needs.
